Amigos do blog, desta vez apresento uma compilação modernizada de músicas clássicas, realizada pela The Neon Philharmonic Orchestra, com arranjos que predominam os teclados e sintetizadores.
Esse formato, de modernizar músicas clássicas já tinha ocorrido em anos anteriores a década de 1990, com o eletrônico pioneiro de Walter Carlos, que posteriormente virou Wendy Carlos, com Waldo de Los Rios e o seu magistral arranjo para a Sinfonia nº 40 de Mozart e Walter Murphy para a 5ª de Beethoven.
Já nos anos 1990, muitas orquestras filarmônicas e sinfônicas lançaram seus discos com arranjos novos para as músicas clássicas. Basta lembrar da série "Hooked Classics".
Nesta postagem, o álbum em questão é o "Switched on Classics - Volume 3", apresentando em formato modernizado músicas de Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Dvorak, Chopin, Beethoven, Schumann, Bach, entre outros. A grande exceção foi a inclusão de canções instrumentais de Lennon & McCartney. Foi lançado na Inglaterra, em 1994, pela gravadora Tring International, com o selo MCPS.
Aproveitamos, da mesma forma da postagem anterior, como bônus, mixamos as 12 faixas em 4 faixas, distinguindo-as pelo compositor, em um formato que podemos intitular como "No Stop" ou "On the Road", ou seja, ouvir em um só momento.
